The Sphere 360 Feedback Series
The Sphere 360 Feedback Series is based on Dr. Marty Seldman’s research about executive success and derailment factors and consists of four different reports:
- Sphere 360 Individual Report
- The Sphere 360 Progress Report
- The Sphere 360 Team Report
- The Sphere 360 Team Progress Report
Sphere 360 Individual Report
This internet-based instrument elicits feedback from self, peers, direct reports, and managers regarding 60 effective behaviors. Participants receive feedback about differences in self vs. other perception, as well as scores on 12 success factors. If scores are below certain thresholds, the report will alert the participant to potential derailment factors.
Sphere 360 Progress Report
This focuses on the same behaviors as the individual report, but it has the additional capacity to detect perceived changes in behavior. The progress report asks each rater (self, peer, direct report, manager) to give the participant 2 scores for each behavior; one indicates current levels of behavior, and the second asks for a comparison to behavior exhibited 6 months ago. The Progress 360 is most useful 6 months after a coaching or developmental intervention.
Sphere 360 Team Report
This instrument asks team members to rate the team on 60 behaviors associated with team effectiveness and cohesion. It is most useful as a diagnostic tool before a team-building exercise.
Sphere 360 Team Progress Report
Similar to the Individual Progress Report, team members are asked to compare current team behavior to levels of behavior 6 months ago. This instrument is most useful 6 months after a team intervention.
